Position: Project Officer – Rights-Based Program

Organization: FAITH (Friends Affected & Infected Together in Hand)

Duty Station: Kathmandu, Nepal

FAITH is a women-led, beneficiary-led organization working to advance the health and human rights of marginalized women and communities in Nepal. We are seeking a qualified and committed professional for the position of Project Officer to support the implementation of rights-based programs focusing on gender equality, civic participation, and social justice.

Position Summary

The Project Officer will support the implementation and coordination of rights-based programs focusing on gender-based violence prevention, democracy, and civic education.

The position requires strong experience working with marginalized communities and engaging with civil society and relevant stakeholders, including police, local governments, and ministries, to promote inclusive participation and rights-based approaches.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in law, gender studies, development studies, or a related field.

  • Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in programs related to gender-based violence (GBV), democracy, civic education, or human rights.

  • Demonstrated experience working with marginalized communities and rights-based organizations.

  • Strong coordination, facilitation, and communication skills.

  • Experience in project documentation and reporting.

  • Fluency in Nepali and English (both written and verbal).
