Position: Project Officer- HOMES Nepal

Number of Positions: 1 (One)
Duration: Project position, One year, with possibility of extension
Reports to: Program Manager, Satellite office Biratnagar; technically works within the Housing Finance and Markets team
Position Overview
The Project Officer will provide on-the-ground support to the HOMES Nepal project in Koshi Province, assisting with training delivery, data collection, partner coordination, and monitoring. This is a field-facing role that will support the Housing Finance and Markets team to ensure high-quality implementation of demand-side activities and documentation of learning.

Key Responsibilities
Training and Field Implementation:
Assist in the delivery of financial literacy, digital literacy, and awareness activities in Sunsari and Udayapur.
Facilitate training sessions with local youth, women’s groups, and community facilitators.
Monitor community-level events and provide feedback to trainers for continuous improvement.
Ensure training venues and materials are accessible to people with disabilities.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Support data collection for baseline, midline, and endline assessments.
Conduct regular field visits to track progress, document challenges, and gather beneficiary stories.
Assist in preparing field visit reports and monthly updates to inform donor reporting and project planning.
Coordination Support:
Support logistics and coordination for events, workshops, and meetings with stakeholders.
Coordinate with Sahara Nepal, MFIs, and local officials to ensure field-level synergy.
Support the MEAL team with data verification and feedback collection during training sessions.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Social Sciences, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in financial literacy or community development projects.
Experience working with savings groups, digital financial platforms, and local NGOs.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate training sessions and community engagement.
Basic experience in data collection and reporting; knowledge of mobile data tools preferred.
Familiarity with Koshi Province and experience working with rural communities.
