Integrated Rural Development Society (IRDS), Mahottari, is a non-political and non-profit NGO established in 1994 by a group of Terai marginalized groups. Since then, IRDS is fully dedicated to working in humanitarian assistance, community development, livelihood, child well-being, and environmental protection, mainly in the Terai region of Nepal through the humanitarian and long-term development projects.
In partnership with World Vision International Nepal, IRDS Mahottari is initiating work on “HATEMALO for Child Wellbeing and Integrated Development Project” in two Rural municipalities, Ekdara and Samsi Rural Municipality. IRDS Mahottari is seeking qualified, dynamic, and motivated Nepali citizens for the following positions.
Positions/Nos.: Admin & Finance Officer-1
Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree of Commerce, Business Studies or Equivalent or Above
Key Skills and Knowledge:
An Admin & Finance Officer (AFO) combines will be responsible for providing overall financial management to the organization and ensuring that all the financial transactions have adhered to the required financial compliance of the organization, donor and governmental compliances, which includes payment and disbursements; financial analysis, supply chain management, logistics, admin, fleet managements, event managements and reporting for the achievement of the overall organization and project goal.
Minimum 2 years of experience independently handling budgeting, financial accounting, planning and analysis in I/NGO and preferably within WVIN projects.
Demonstrated experience in the use of MS office Package (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.) & Internet
Experience working in a computerized accounting system like FAMAS, QuickBooks, Tally, PFMS and others relevant
Ability to lead financial management of the project/program and make the linkage of this with overall financial management of the organization.
Knowledge about NAS for NPO
Good command of English & Nepali languages (written & spoken)
Practical knowledge of project budgeting, accounting & reporting
Able to articulate and communicate ideas well verbally and in writing
Knowledge of tax and compliance of GoN.
Demonstrated Mentoring, Orientation & Training Skill
Good interpersonal, problem-solving & time management skills
Willingness to work under pressure with tight deadlines and to travel across the project areas.
