The Society for Integrated Allied Nepal (SIAN) is a national NGO that was established in 2004 with the aim of promoting inclusive development, democracy, and human resource development by addressing health and nutrition, WASH, education, and access to opportunities for local communities. SIAN is an autonomous, non- political, and non-profit organization run by representatives of civil society and development professionals who actively work in rural development, health and nutrition, WASH, GEDSI, Climate change, Social Inclusion, education, human rights, inclusive democracy, child rights, livelihood, gender, and environmental issues. In consortium with CARE Nepal and iDE Nepal SIAN is implementing the Mother and Child Wellbeing (MCW) project in partnership with iDE Nepal in Four municipalities and rural municipalities of Siraha (Dhangadhimai Municipality and Naraha RM) and Saptari (Agnisair Krishnasavaran RM and Saptakoshi Municipality) leveraging the extensive technical and managerial expertise in executing Agriculture, Livelihood/income generation and Market enterprises related activities.
In this connection, Society for Integrated Allied Nepal (SIAN) invites application from the deserving candidate for the following positions for Mother and Child Wellbeing (MCW) Project who meets the detailed criteria.
Technical Assistant (Agriculture & Marketing)- Nos. 1 (100% Field based)
Location: Saptari (Agnisair Krishnasavaran RM and Saptakoshi Municipality)
Contract Type: Full-time, renewable based on performance and availability of fund
Duration: Initially 12 months with applicable probation period and possibilities of extension
Reports To: Program Manager/Agriculture and Marketing Officer
Job Summary:
The Technical Assistant (Agriculture and Marketing) will play a vital role in social mobilization and providing technical support to the farmer’s and Community Business Facilitators for the implementation of activities in the field to achieve the objectives stated in the project document inconsistent with the strategic direction of SIAN thereby making a major contribution to the development and articulation of the organization’s objectives. He/She will report to the Agriculture and Marketing officer and work in close coordination with the consortium partner’s staff in the field.
The TA will be responsible for carrying out the activity implementation with the highest degree of targeted community engagement and building relationships with like-minded stakeholders for the smooth implementation of project interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead in the smooth implementation of the project activities in the field as per activity implementation guidelines mobilizing CBF, lead farmers, HMG and relevant stakeholders providing necessary support in community mobilization for enterprise development and establishment and expansion of climate-smart technology/post-harvest technologies for sustainable livelihoods.
- Link with financial institutions to provide financial products by conducting orientations at local level
- Ensure effective and efficient implementation of the community mobilization for carrying out the project activities in a timely manner through Social Behavior Change Communication.
- Prepare, participate, and conduct training, and workshops, and support the project coordinator for the establishment of Community learning Centers (CLCs), development of TVC enterprises and so on.
- Ensure quality delivery of project activities/inputs as planned way and perform regular field visits to ensure the smooth implementation of project activities in the field.
- Support in the development of required technical manuals, guidelines, and resource materials for community mobilization and conduction of technical training and workshops related to climate-smart agriculture practices and introducing climate-smart technology.
- Support to admin and finance department for proper management of financial transactions referring to the compliances.
- Support to Agriculture and Marketing Officer in documentation and compilation of quantitative data and qualitative information from the field.
- Work closely maintaining the professional relationship with the local government, lead farmers, Community Business Facilitators, and relevant stakeholders.
- Promotion of a conductive environment through networking and workshops with stakeholders involving public, and private partnerships (PPP), including ward-level and municipal-level government.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Intermediate in Agriculture Science with 3 years of relevant experience in working with I/NGOs in similar fields or Junior Technical/Assistant in Agriculture with 5 years of relevant experience in working with I/NGOs in similar fields.
- Well familiar with the locality and communities of working palikas of Siraha and Saptari districts will be an advantage.
- Proven knowledge and experience in project activities planning, and implementation, database recording, and reporting.
- Strong willingness to work with diverse communities, lead farmers’ groups, and marginalized communities.
- Proven knowledge and experience in working with consortium organizations and government authorities.
- Reporting written skills and data collection using the applications.
- Good communication skills with communities and stakeholders.
- Two-wheeler driving license is mandatory for the candidates
Admin and Finance Assistant- Nos. 1 (Lahan Field Office based)

Job Summary:
The Admin and Finance Assistant will provide operational and administrative support to the Finance and Admin team, helping ensure smooth financial and administrative functioning across the organisation’s head office and field offices. This role involves supporting POSHAN project in close coordination with programme and field staff.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Collect, verify, and organise financial vouchers and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Support bank and cash transactions, ensuring proper review and approvals.
- Prepare payment vouchers and assist with cash disbursements.
- Maintain petty cash and support monthly bank and cash reconciliations.
- Assist in processing accounts payable, including payroll, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of payments.
- Support programme and field teams in tracking expenses and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist in preparing basic financial reports and documentation for audits or management review.
- Help ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements.
- Assist in procurement processes, including managing purchase orders and vendor contracts.
- Maintain office inventory, asset records, and staff files.
- Support logistics for meetings, workshops, training, and field activities.
- Provide general administrative support as required by the Finance and Admin Manager and Project team.
- Serve as a coordination point with field offices for finance and admin-related tasks.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. At least 3 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
- Demonstrates high standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently on complex tasks, exercising creativity, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with accounting software like FAMAS/TRUEBOOK etc.
- Practical knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, preparing financial statements, and following Nepalese tax policies.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proactive, practical, and solution-oriented approach to challenges and conflicts.

Job Summary:
The MEAL Associate will support Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) functions at Kathmandu supporting all the projects. The role involves data collection, verification, and documentation, reporting, and supporting field teams to ensure timely and quality data management. The MEAL Associate collaborates closely with program staff, municipalities, and health facilities to strengthen evidence-based decision-making and program improvement.
- Support the implementation of MEAL activities by assisting in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning processes across project interventions.
- Collect, compile, and verify project data from field activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.
- Maintain and update project databases and assist in data entry, cleaning, and quality assurance.
- Assist in conducting field monitoring visits, beneficiary verification, post-distribution monitoring, and data validation exercises.
- Support the preparation of monitoring tools, checklists, questionnaires, and data collection formats for project activities.
- Analyze and summarize project data and assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and donor reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Track project indicators against approved work plans, logical frameworks, and donor reporting requirements.
- Document success stories, case studies, lessons learned, and best practices to support organizational learning and knowledge management.
- Support accountability mechanisms by recording, tracking, and reporting beneficiary feedback, complaints, and response actions.
- Coordinate with program and field teams to ensure timely submission of monitoring data, maintain proper documentation, and perform other MEAL-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Support in writing the Report, preparation of fact sheet, Bulletin and other documents.
- Perform other MEAL-related tasks assigned by the Program Manager.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Agriculture, Sociology or other related field.
- Basic knowledge of monitoring and evaluation concepts and logical frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Canva, AI tools.
- Ability to organize, clean, and analyze data accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and report-writing abilities.
- Willingness to travel to project sites for monitoring and data collection.
- Ability to work collaboratively with field staff and community stakeholders.
- Understanding of data confidentiality, safeguarding, and ethical data collection practices.
