Sabal Nepal Vacancy for Social Mobiliser, Project Coordinator, Field Officer (DRR, WASH and Livelihood)

Sabal Nepal, a non-profit social development organization, is implementing the Shikshya Surakshya (ShiSu) Project in partnership with United Mission to Nepal (UMN). The project aims to strengthen quality, inclusive, and child-friendly education by empowering schools, communities, School Management Committees (SMCs), Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs), and Early Childhood Education Development (ECED) facilitators in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality, Saptari District, Madhesh Province.

Sabal Nepal invites applications from qualified, committed, and enthusiastic Nepali citizens for the following positions. The positions are field-based and require frequent travel within the project area.

Position : Project Coordinator
No. of Vacancy: 1
Qualification and experience: Master’s degree in education, development studies, or an equivalent degree from a recognised university, with at least three years’ experience in an education project, OR a Bachelor’s degree with +5 years’ experience in an education project. Experience working on Child Friendly Education, school governance, and DRM stakeholders. Strong skills in financial management, reporting, and documentation. Fluency in computer use (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet). Good communication skills in English and Nepali (oral and written). Maithali preferable.

Assignment: 60% office-based work, including coordination and reporting, and 40% fieldwork, including supervision and backstopping (subject to modification as per program requirements).

Position : Field Officer (DRR, WASH and Livelihood)
No. of Vacancy: 1
Qualification and experiences: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Development Studies, Engineering, Management, Disaster Risk Management, Social Work, or a related field; minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in education, community development, child-focused projects, WASH, or NGO/INGO programs; strong knowledge and experience in , reporting, documentation, and record keeping; proven experience in coordinating with schools, local governments, community institutions, and other relevant stakeholders; excellent facilitation, training, community mobilization, and report-writing skills; Good understanding of School DRR, WASH and Livelihoods and community participation; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet usage; good command of Nepali languages (written and spoken); and knowledge of the Maithili language will be an added advantage.

Assignment: 20% office-based work, including coordination and reporting, and 80% fieldwork, including supervision and backstopping (subject to modification as per program requirements).

Position : Social Mobiliser
No. of Vacancy: 3

Qualification and experience: Intermediate degree or diploma in education, Social Work, Development Studies, or related fields. At least 2 years of experience in community mobilization, social work, or grassroots-level engagement. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an understanding of community dynamics and inclusivity.
