Social Awareness Centre (SAC) Nepal is a NGO dedicated to upholding the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through its interventions on Health, Education, Livelihood, Protection and Climate Change, Disaster Management and Humanitarian Support including Organizational Development and GEDSI. It works with a vision for capable and prosperous society for quality life of women, children and adolescents. SAC Nepal is implementing the different 10 projects partnership with different partners. The projects covered all 10 districts of Karnali Province.
SAC Nepal is being implementing the Strengthening Public Schools Through Partnerships (STEPS) in Lekabesi Municipality, Surkhet district in partnership with Blink Now Foundation (BNF) and coordination with local and provincial governments as well as other stakeholders. Therefore, SAC Nepal invites applications from interested qualified and professional Nepali candidates for the following full-time positions.

Position: Program Officer cum Teacher (PO/Teacher)
Required No.: 2 (Two)
Duty Station: Selected schools in Lekabesi Municipaility, Surkhet (with frequent field visit in project area)
Required qualification, experience, skill and knowledge
Bachelors in any English/social and or science/math subject with three-year experience in the education sector program.
At least 3 years of proven experience in the education sector program.
Experience in teacher training, school governance, and community engagement.
Experience in working with government schools, local governments, or NGO is preferred.
Familiar with school-based education improvement programs in Nepal
Basic level teacher license for English/Social studies and Science/Math is preferred.
A good communicator, and fluent in English and Nepali with excellent facilitation skills.
Ability to work with teachers, children, and community stakeholders, and strong understanding of education system and school improvement process
Commitment to child protection, inclusion, and gender equity
Strong documentation and reporting abilities
Ability to work independently and in team under field conditions
Purpose of Job
The objective of position is implementing the project in sele td schools as well as palika level.
