About Campaign Nepal
Campaign Nepal for Research & Development (hereinafter referred to as Campaign Nepal) is a non-political, secular, and non-profit organisation established in 2008, with its central office in Rautahat District. While the organisation has primarily focused its work in the Terai region, its programmes have expanded to the national level. Campaign Nepal implements community development and humanitarian assistance programmes across key sectors including governance, health, WASH, education, livelihoods, and disaster risk reduction (DRR).
In collaboration with national and international development partners, Campaign Nepal is dedicated to promoting the rights, dignity, and socio-economic justice of women, children, youth, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable and marginalised communities.
Project Background
Campaign Nepal is currently implementing the Core Group Partners Project (CGPP) in partnership with ADRA Nepal and in coordination with provincial, municipal, and rural municipalities. The project operates in selected local levels of Madhesh Province, focusing on community-based surveillance systems, immunization, disease surveillance, zoonotic diseases, vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs), cross-border health screening, and the integration of the “One Health” approach.
Position Details
Position: Finance Officer
Number of Position: 1
Duty Stations:
Based in Gaur, Rautahat, this role involves active engagement and regular travel across 15 local government units within the Rautahat, Sarlahi, and Mahottari districts.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance Officer will be responsible for ensuring efficient financial management, compliance, and accountability of the project. Key responsibilities include:
Financial Management & Compliance
Ensure all financial transactions are managed in compliance with donor requirements and organisational policies
Maintain strong internal controls and financial accountability systems
Budgeting & Financial Planning
Support the preparation of project budgets, revisions, and forecasts
Monitor budget utilisation and provide regular updates on variances
Financial Reporting
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal management and donors
Support periodic financial reviews and reporting requirements
Scan all the journals with adequate supporting documents and send to the donor as agreed timeline
Accounting & Record Keeping
Maintain proper financial records, ledgers, and supporting documents
Ensure all transactions are properly recorded, verified, and documented
Payments & Cash Management
Process payments to staff, vendors, and partners in a timely manner
Manage cash flow, bank transactions, and reconciliations (bank and cash)
Procurement & Asset Management
Support procurement processes ensuring compliance with policies and donor guidelines
Maintain records of assets and inventory related to the project
Audit & Documentation
Assist in internal and external audits by preparing required documents
Ensure all financial documentation is complete, organised, and audit-ready
Coordination & Support
Work closely with programme and field teams to ensure proper financial planning and implementation
Provide financial guidance and basic orientation to project staff as needed
Compliance & Risk Management
Identify potential financial risks and support mitigation measures
Ensure adherence to statutory requirements (tax, VAT, etc., where applicable)
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial management within the development sector
Strong understanding of donor compliance requirements and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
