ABOUT NAB AND CADIR NEPAL
The Nepal Association of the Blind (NAB) is one and only National umbrella organization of the blind and partially sighted people dedicated to advancing their rights and inclusion in Nepal. NAB is the Country Coordinator organization for the Collective Action for Disability Rights (CADiR) Nepal Consortium — a multi-organization disability rights initiative implemented under the framework of the Atlas Alliance (Norway). The consortium brings together five Nepali partner organizations and five Norwegian partners to promote the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities across Nepal.
POSITION SUMMARY
NAB is seeking a qualified and experienced Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator to lead all M&E activities of the CADiR Nepal Consortium. The M&E Coordinator will work closely with the Country Coordinator (CC) and Thematic Working Groups, and will serve as the key link between the Atlas Alliance Global M&E Working Group and the national M&E Working Group. This position is employed by NAB, consistent with the consortium's organizational structure as of 2026.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
M&E Leadership and Planning
Lead all Monitoring and Evaluation activities of the CADiR Nepal Consortium.
Serve as the primary bridge between the Atlas Alliance Global M&E Working Group and the national M&E Working Group.
Lead and chair the national M&E Working Group, organizing monthly meetings and additional sessions as needed.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive consortium M&E plan, including relevant tools and templates.
Maintain a uniform and up-to-date database of the CADiR Nepal program (activity plans, results against targets, etc.).
Data Collection, Analysis and Reporting
Lead and supervise Baseline, Midline, and Endline study processes in close collaboration with the Country Coordinator and M&E officers of partner organizations.
Support the rollout of data collection tools; train partners on their use, coordinate data collection, and analyze and disseminate results.
Monitor and track the reach and impact of the program on a continuous basis.
Continuously monitor progress and levels of inclusion (across disability, ethnicity, and underrepresented groups) and recommend improvements as needed.
Consolidate reports from all partner organizations and ensure the quality of all consortium reports before submission to the Country Coordinator.
Ensure all reports meet donor requirements and reflect high-quality, evidence-based information.
Capacity Building and Coordination
Build the capacity of consortium staff and partner organizations in project monitoring, data management, and reporting, including training on agreed tools and templates.
Guide the CADiR Nepal team on the use of agreed reporting systems as defined by CADiR Nepal and/or the Atlas Alliance.
Participate in Consortium Partner Committee (CPC) meetings to present plan-versus-achievement updates and guide improvements where implementation is delayed.
Plan and communicate reporting timelines to all partners to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
Coordinate with the Country Coordinator and Thematic Working Groups to facilitate smooth, timely reporting.
Follow up on planned actions from M&E Working Group meetings and share meeting notes in a timely manner.
Conduct field monitoring and support visits as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education
A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and substantial professional experience will also be considered. A Bachelor's degree is the minimum academic requirement.
Experience
Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in Monitoring & Evaluation within the civil society sector.
Prior experience in the disability rights movement is a strong advantage.
Demonstrated experience in planning, conducting, and facilitating M&E training — both online and in-person.
Experience in a management or supervisory role is an asset.
Skills and Competencies
Fluency in Nepali and English — both written and verbal — is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; extensive experience using real-time, shared online databases and Microsoft Office programs.
Proactive, with demonstrated ability to mentor and guide large, diverse groups across multiple organizations.
Strong planning and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Excellent communication and coordination skills; comfortable engaging regularly with six Nepali organizations and five Norwegian partner organizations, including the Atlas Alliance.
Willingness to travel overnight within Nepal and internationally from time to time.
Flexibility, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
