We are now looking for interested and qualified individuals for the position of Manager, National Training Centre Kavre at SOS Children’s Villages Nepal.

Position: Manager – National Training Centre Kavre

The Manager – National Training Centre Kavre will lead the training facility, ensuring high-quality and effective training programmes. The role includes planning, developing and continuously improving training programmes to meet participants’ needs, managing and mentoring staff and overseeing scheduling, budgeting and logistics. She/he will ensure compliance with organisational policies and standards, monitor performance, drive programme improvements and adopt collaboration to achieve sustainable training outcomes.

Key performance areas and responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the overall operations of the National Training Center Kavre to ensure smooth and effective functioning.
  • Develop and implement annual and monthly training plans, objectives, budgets and training calendars.
  • Design, organise and ensure the quality implementation of technical, vocational and soft skills training programmes.
  • Supervise trainers and staff, maintain discipline and support staff performance and professional development.
  • Manage trainee selection, monitor attendance, discipline and learning progress and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Oversee monitoring, evaluation and reporting of training programmes, using feedback to improve effectiveness and quality.
  • Manage financial, administrative and asset-related responsibilities, including proper maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Coordinate with partners and stakeholders, support employment follow-up where applicable and report regularly to the National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Nepal.

Qualification, experience and skills:

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in any discipline, with at least second division or equivalent from a recognised university.
  • A minimum of five years of experience managing training programmes, learning and development initiatives or a training facility, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, with experience in designing, implementing and evaluating training programmes.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to develop training materials, monitor learning outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, reporting and programme management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in English and Nepali along with sound computer literacy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset and a positive attitude.
  • Experience of working with children and young people will be considered an added advantage.
