Asal Chhimekee Nepal Vacancy for Site Engineer / Sub-Engineer
Vacancy Announcement:
Pokhreli Christian Community (PCC) in collaboration with Asal Chhimekee Nepal (ACN) is undertaking the construction of the Community Service Center Building in Pokhara, Kaski. We invite applications from qualified and motivated candidates for the following position:
Position : Site Engineer / Sub-Engineer
Duration : One year (with possibility of extension)
Grade : Special Contract
Work Area : Pokhara – Office and construction site
Minimum Qualifications
- For Site Engineer : Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- For Site Sub-Engineer : Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Proficiency in Auto-CAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong command of both Nepali and English languages
- Preference will be given to candidates holding a valid two-wheeler license
Minimum Work Experience
- Site Engineer: Minimum 2 years of experience in multi-story building construction project management (bidding, supervision, quality control, documentation, stakeholder coordination, billing and reporting.)
- Sub-Engineer: Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-story building construction project management (bidding, supervision, quality control, documentation, stakeholder coordination, billing and reporting.)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing bidding documents, analyzing bids, and awarding contracts
- Provide technical input during design/modification to ensure compliance with relevant standards and codes
- Supervise and manage construction activities to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and technical standards
- Record progress, quality, and cost control evidence (photos, videos, minutes, test reports)
- Jointly measure progress and final bills with contractors and suppliers, and recommend claims for certification
- Conduct meetings with contractors, consultants, and project teams
- Oversee de-snagging of construction works
- Manage documentation and arrange timely final completion certification from Metropolitan authorities
- Communicate with stakeholders through weekly, monthly, and other reports with concise and accurate information
- Support reporting and data analysis.
