Sabal Nepal Vacancy for Project Coordinator/ Community Mobiliser

Sabal Nepal, a non-profit social development organization, is implementing the Shikshya Surakshya (ShiSu) Project, supported by UMN. The project aims To strengthen quality education by empowering schools, communities, and ECD/BE facilitators in Hanumanagar Municipality of Saptari, Madhesh Province. We invite applications from interested and qualified Nepali citizens aged 18 to 40 for the following positions. These roles are based in the Saptari district and will be located in rural municipalities or municipalities as required by the project.

Position : Project Coordinator - 01

Qualification and experiences: A At least 3 years of similar experience with I/NGOs and government specially in Terai region of Nepal, Master’s degree in education, development studies or equivalent degree from the recognized university OR Bachelor’s degree with +5 years of experience in managing program, Solid working experience in child education, Knowledge and skills on Rights- based approaches, GEDSI, DRR, nutrition, and special needs of children in this context would be an added advantage, Willingness to travel extensively in the project locations and ability to work under high pressure, Ability to prepare technical reports in English reflecting the problem/learnings with possible solutions, Excellent command of spoken and written of English and Nepali. Knowledge of Terai local languages (Maithili) would be an added advantage, Valid two-wheeler driving license, able to ride a motorcycle in rural environment.

Assignment: 30% office-based work, including coordination and reporting, and 70% fieldwork, including supervision and backstopping (subject to modification as per program requirements).

Position : Community Mobiliser  -02

Qualification and experiences: Intermediate degree or diploma in Social Work, Development Studies, or related fields. 2 years of experience in community mobilization, social work, or grassroots-level engagement. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an understanding of community dynamics and inclusivity.
