Progressive Youth Society (PYS) Vacancy for Education Officer/Case Management Assistant

Progressive Youth Society (PYS) is a non-governmental, non-profitable and non-religious organization. It was registered under district administrative office Bajhang on March 29, 2004 according to social welfare act 2034, in Bajhang. Since then, PYS is heavily engaged in various components of community development through various project reaching out to the children, adolescent, youth, women, People with disabilities, conflicts and disaster survivors from marginalized and underprivileged groups.

In partnership with World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), PYS is implementing Child Wellbeing and Integrated Development Project in Jayaprithvi Municipality and Kedarsyu Rural Municipality of Bajhang district. Therefore, now PYS is seeking qualified, dynamic and motivated Nepali citizens for the post of Education Officer and Case Management Assistant for smooth implementation of the project.

Positions: Education Officer (1-Nos.)

Qualification: Bachelor in Education or relevant discipline with three year of working experience

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Government training module, package, TPD framework, national curriculum, grade wise objectives and competencies (focused on Literacy, School Safety, Community based advocacy)

  • Coordinate across field staff to ensure the development and regular use of all technical tools necessary for the successful implementation guideline, quality benchmark, training materials, training curriculum, information materials, BCC materials and other resources.

  • Good understanding on operation issues like timely delivery of services, good planning and monitoring skill

  • Sound knowledge & skill on project risk analysis and management.

Positions: Case Management Assistant (1-Nos)

Qualification: Secondary Education in social work, sociology, law, or related fields with 3 years of experience or Bachelor's degree in social work, sociology, law, or related fields with at least 1 years of experience.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of child protection, survivor-centered approach, CP-related laws, policies and mechanisms.

  • Demonstrated experience in capacity building of children, parents and caregivers, community campaigning, CP case management, CIR reporting and policy advocacy

  • Knowledge in project management.

  • Experience working with community groups and children including community orientations and training facilitation.

  • Strong experience in CP-related capacity building/ training facilitation

  • Monthly budget forecast and planning, quarterly expense tracking and review of expenses.

  • Good report writing skills for semi-annual and annual reports

  • Sound skills in capacity assessment/training need assessment process and tools for staff and target group and project staff mentoring and onsite support

  • Skilled in using Microsoft office applications
