Project: SLUMS TO STADIUM: Equalizing the Playing Field for Marginalized Youths through Football in Urban Slums of Nepal (Project S2S)

Child Nepal, in partnership with the European Union Delegation to Nepal, is implementing the “Slums to Stadium (S2S)” project under Lot 3 – Youths and Sports. The project aims to empower marginalized youth from slum communities through football coaching, sports-based entrepreneurship, and strong safeguarding systems in Kathmandu, Kaski, and Bara districts.
Child Nepal invites applications from qualified, committed, and motivated Nepali citizens for the following full-time positions:
1. Project Manager (Full-Time)
Duty Station: Kathmandu (with frequent field travel)
Duration: 1st January 2026 -31st December 2026 (with possibility of extension)
Reports to: Executive Director
Key Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership and management of the S2S project
Ensure timely and quality implementation in line with EU contract requirements
Coordinate with co-applicants (Protection Nepal and UniCoN), EU Delegation, and stakeholders
Oversee project planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance
Ensure safeguarding, gender equality, and inclusion standards are upheld
Lead monitoring, learning, and adaptive management processes
Represent Child Nepal in coordination meetings and forums
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Sports Management, or related field
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role
Proven experience managing EU-funded or international donor projects
Strong knowledge of youth development, sports for development, or community-based programs
Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills
Fluency in English and Nepali (written and spoken)
2. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer (Full-Time)
Duty Station: Kathmandu (with regular field visits)
Duration: 1st January 2026 -31st December 2026 (with possibility of extension)
Reports to: Project Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement the project M&E framework and tools
Track project indicators, outputs, and outcomes in line with EU log-frame
Support partners in data collection, analysis, and reporting
Ensure data quality, learning, and evidence-based decision-making
Prepare M&E sections of narrative reports for the EU
Document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Law, Economics, Development Studies, or related field
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in M&E of development projects
Experience with EU or other institutional donor M&E systems preferred
Strong data analysis and report-writing skills
Proficiency in MS Excel and data collection tools
Readiness to travel to project districts
3. Finance Officer (Full-Time)
Duty Station: Kathmandu
Duration: 1st January 2026 – 31st December 2026 (with possibility of extension)
Reports to: Project Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Manage project financial transactions in compliance with EU rules
Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
Ensure proper documentation and archiving of financial records
Support audits, verifications, and financial reviews
Monitor partner expenditures and provide financial guidance
Ensure compliance with Child Nepal and EU financial policies
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in NGO/INGO financial management
Strong experience with EU-funded project financial rules
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
Strong attention to detail and integrity
4. Facilitator (Full-Time)
Duty Station: Kathmandu
Duration: 1st January 2026 – 31st December 2026 (with possibility of extension)
Reports to: Project Manager / Football Coach
Key Responsibilities:
Mobilize youths from slum communities to participate in project activities
Support football coaching sessions and youth entrepreneurship initiatives
Facilitate community meetings, awareness sessions, and safeguarding activities
Coordinate with local stakeholders, schools, and community leaders
Collect basic monitoring data and success stories
Promote inclusion, gender equality, and child safeguarding
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Intermediate level (10+2) education or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and relevant experience in social work, community development, or sports
Minimum 2–3 years of experience working with marginalized communities
Experience in youth engagement or sports programs preferred
Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
Knowledge of local context and languages is an asset
5. Office Assistant (Full-Time)
Duty Station: Kathmandu
Duration: 1st January 2026 – 31st December 2026 (with possibility of extension)
Reports to: Project Manager / Finance Officer
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and logistical support to the project team
Maintain office files, records, and correspondence
Support procurement and event logistics
Assist with travel arrangements and office coordination
Perform general office duties as required
Required Qualifications & Experience:
SEE/SLC or Intermediate level (10+2) preferred
At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in administrative support
Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, email)
Strong organizational and communication skills
