Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Residential (Stay-in Position)

Maiti Nepal is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and empowering vulnerable women and children, especially those affected by trafficking and exploitation. We are looking for a qualified and compassionate Staff Nurse and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team and contribute to our health care and rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide primary health care and first aid to clients residing in shelters, transit homes, and other Maiti Nepal facilities.
Conduct regular health check-ups and maintain medical records for all beneficiaries.
Administer prescribed medications, vaccinations, and monitor clients for side effects.
Support in referrals and coordinate with hospitals and health institutions when specialized care is needed.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the clinic area, including proper disposal of biomedical waste.
Educate clients on basic hygiene, reproductive health, and disease prevention.
Assist during health camps, awareness programs, and medical outreach activities organized by Maiti Nepal.
Prepare timely reports and updates related to medical cases and submit to the concerned supervisor.
Provide psychosocial support and encouragement to clients during treatment and recovery.
Work in close coordination with the multidisciplinary team including counselors, social workers, and legal officers.
Required Qualifications:
Certificate level in Nursing (PCL Nursing) and CMA from a recognized institution.
Registered with Nepal Nursing Council or Nepal Health Professional Council.
Minimum 1 year of work experience in a similar setting (preferably in NGOs/INGOs or rehabilitation centers).
Ability to deal with trauma-affected individuals with sensitivity and empathy.
Good documentation and basic computer skills.
Willingness to work in flexible hours, including emergency situations.
Knowledge of gender-based violence and trafficking issues is a plus.
