Vacancy Announcements – Field Officer and Freelance Engineer

Kids of Kathmandu, a non-profit organization committed to enhancing educational infrastructure and access, is looking for a Field Officer and a Freelance Engineer to support its school construction project in Dhading and Makawanpur districts.

1. Position: Field Officer (School Construction Project)

Office location: Sanepa - Lalitpur

Project Location: Dhading & Makawanpur

Organization: Kids of Kathmandu

Project Duration: 1.5 years (with possibility of extension)

1. Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Basic construction knowledge preferred)

  • Valid motorcycle license and own bike – must be willing and able to travel to remote and off-road areas

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); (knowledge of SketchUp and AutoCAD is a plus)

  • Strong command of English communication (spoken and written)

  • Both experienced and fresh candidates are welcome to apply

2. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular field visits and supervise ongoing construction work

  • Coordinate with local stakeholders, contractors, and school representatives

  • Maintain project documentation, progress tracking, and reporting

  • Support the team in planning, monitoring, and evaluation

Salary & Benefits:

Basic Salary: Rs. 25,000/month plus Travel and field allowances (negotiable based on experience and skills)

2. Position: Freelance Engineer
