Greenhood Nepal Vacancy for Research Associate

Greenhood Nepal is looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join the team as a Research Associate! If you are enthusiastic about biodiversity conservation and research, this is your chance to contribute to a meaningful cause. Details of the position are below:

Position: Research Associate (1)

Location: Kathmandu, with frequent field visits

Duration: One year (with possible extension)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support the design and implementation of Greenhood Nepal’s wildlife research and conservation programs

• Proactively identify, develop, communicate and manage relationships with local communities, project partners, and field staff

• Collect data, information, maintain database, prepare required reports and memos, and publish research findings

• Plan and arrange necessary meetings, workshops, and events as required

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Greenhood Nepal

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s degree in subjects related to natural resource management (preferably Botany, Forestry, Environmental Science)

• Experience: Minimum one year of professional experience working in wildlife conservation. Prior experience in the field of plant conservation and restoration is an advantage.

• Skills & Competencies: The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in conservation, proficiency in social and ecological data collection, analysis, and publications.
