INTRODUCTION
APEIRON is a women led Nepali NGO working for a gender equal society through four main areas of interventions; Gender Based Violence Prevention and Response, Awareness and Education, Income Generation and Institutional Collaboration. It started out as an international NGO with the headquarters in Italy on 2004 and evolved into a national NGO in 2013.
APEIRON is now inviting applications for the position of Co-warden/Support Staff for the "Gender-Based Violence Response and Protection Program". The project's overall objective is to "strengthen the existing support systems serving GBV survivors and their dependent children". APEIRON has provided shelter services to the survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) in Nepal since 2007, assisting up to 100 survivors annually. APEIRON currently provides shelter services in Kathmandu (Casa Nepal) and in the Sindhuli (Sindhuli Safe House), with psycho-social counseling, medical services, child support, and skill development training for the survivors to be independent.
APEIRON invites applications from the interested and eligible candidates for Residential Co–warden/Support Staff for GBV Survivor’s Safe House in Kathmandu
At least Intermediate in any field.
Experience of working with Safe House is highly desirable.
Efficiency in using word, excel and internet.
Familiarity with GBV Survivor
Attention to detail, confidentiality, organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks.
Job Specification
Works as focal person to oversee the overall management of the Safe House.
Ensure protection and safety procedures.
Manage equipment of Safe House.
Motivate the beneficiaries of the Safe House to involve in the activity and encourage them to take a leadership role.
Support with their rehabilitation and reintegration processes.
Keep records of each and every beneficiary.
Manage the equipment and stores of the safe home.
Managing crisis situations (eg: managing mutual tension between residents).
To remain as a permanent presence for the residents at Safe House.
Other duties related to the job as assigned by the Program Coordinator
