Vacancy Announcement:
Nyaya Health Nepal (NHN) is dedicated to enhancing healthcare for underserved communities in Nepal in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Sudurpaschhim Provincial Ministry of Social Development (MoSD), and municipal governments of Achham district. NHN aims to create a supportive environment for reaching remote communities in line with WHO recommendations to develop a robust healthcare system. NHN operates in two municipalities and four rural municipalities in Achham District, Far-western Province, running Bayalpata Hospital, a Municipal Primary Health Center at Chaurmandu, and a network of Community Health Workers (CHWs) integrated with hospital-based care through an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Position Overview: The Partnerships and Communications Officer will report to the Deputy Director of Partnerships and Communications and will be based in Achham. The Officer will design and implement the overall communications strategy of the program, ensuring effective and timely delivery of quality outputs and achieving maximum impact for project beneficiaries. Responsibilities include content creation, media coordination, and support in internal and external communications.

Big 3 Responsibilities:
Develop and disseminate case and success stories through interviews with key stakeholders, beneficiaries, community members, and NHN staff.
Capture and edit high-quality images and videos, support in production of communications collaterals, and maintain a digital library in OneDrive.
Support internal and external communications, including media coordination and stakeholder visits.
Areas of Responsibility (AoR):
1. Content Creation:
Develop case and success stories, conduct interviews with Key stakeholders, beneficiaries, community members, and staff.
Ensure informed consent is obtained prior to interviews.
Build rapport with interviewees to gather ethical and accurate information.
Turn interview notes into compelling stories and quotes.
Translate content between English and Nepali as needed.
2. Multimedia Production:
Capture high-quality images and videos, ensuring informed consent.
Build rapport to gather ethical content.
Edit images, add captions, and update the digital library regularly.
Manage NGO communications emails, website updates, and social media posts.
Support design needs including presentations and collateral production.
Proficiently edit videos with subtitles.
3. Communications Support:
Coordinate logistics for media personnel and stakeholder visits.
Prepare team members with speaking points and accompany them if needed to ensure ethical coverage and smooth showcasing of NHN's work.
Additional Responsibilities:
Take on additional tasks as determined by the Deputy Director of Partnerships and Communications and organizational needs.
Must-haves:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years in social media management, ethical interviews, testimonials, story writing, video editing, and producing reports and newsletters.
Skills:
Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn)
Experience in ethical, sensitive interviewing and storytelling
Strong video editing skills with subtitle integration
Competence in designing presentations and other communications materials
Bilingual proficiency in English and Nepali
