SAHAMATI is a non-governmental organization established in 2001/11/12 (Kartik 27, 2058) by a group of professionals and development workers with long experience in community development. This organization has been registered under the organization registration act of Nepal. SAHAMATI aims to make a change by addressing the huge challenges of this emerging societies with a community-centered approach, focusing on social justice, environment justice, and social transformation, human rights development and self-help promotion. SAHAMATI has built a large network composed of diverse social groups, national and international organizations and like-minded institutions and have been launching various kinds of community-centered programs in collaboration. SAHAMATI is mainly focusing on its thematic areas as Economic development and sustainable livelihood promotion, Environment conservation and Disaster Risk Reduction, Health and Nutrition and Research and Innovation with Good Governance, GEDSI (Gender Equality Disability and Social Inclusion, and Youth empowerment as a cross cutting themes. SAHAMATI is affiliated with Social Welfare Council (SWC), NGO Federation of Nepal, Federation of Democratic NGO (FEDEN), Peaceful Schools International Canada, Resource Centre for Primary Health Care Nepal (RECPHEC), DP Net-Nepal, DCCAM Network-Nawalparasi, Tobacco Control and Health Rights Network- Nepal, Coady Alumni, ARI Alumni and Gender and water Alliance-Nepal. Currently, the organization operates in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces of Nepal through partnerships with national and international NGOs, as well as local, provincial, and federal governments, and other key stakeholders. The organization is now seeking experienced and qualified candidates for following positions:
1. Aquaculture Field Coordinator (AFC)
Required Position: 1 (one)
Key responsibilities: The Aquaculture Field Coordinator (AFC) will play a key role in establishing and strengthening fish farmer groups, leading capacity-building initiatives, and promoting best aquaculture practices. The AFC will collaborate closely with fish hatcheries, nurseries, feed millers, processors, feed dealers, sub-dealers, government officials, aquaculture/fisheries associations, research institutes, universities, and farmer leaders. Additionally, the AFC will provide direct support to Aquaculture Field Facilitators and report to the Aquaculture Specialist Additionally, the AFC is responsible for overseeing the project team and assisting in HR and financial management.
Requirements:
Minimum Educational Requirement: Bachelor in Fishery, Veterinary Technician, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or Aquaculture Business.
Prior experience as a project coordinator and training in the fisheries sector will be prioritized.
Flexibility to be deployed based on project needs and requirements.

2. Aquaculture Field Facilitator (AFF)
Required Position: 3 (three)
Key responsibilities: The Aquaculture Field Facilitator will play a crucial role in facilitating the formation and development of fish farmer groups, supporting capacity building activities related to fish farming, hatchery and nursery operation, production, and marketing. The Aquaculture Field Facilitator will be responsible for group mobilization, working in close collaboration with the Aquaculture Field Coordinator, and reporting to the Aquaculture Field Coordinator.
Requirements:
Minimum educational requirement: +2 Pass/Diploma in Fishery/Veterinary Technician/Agriculture/Agri business/Aquaculture business.
Priority will be given to candidates with prior experience and training in the fisheries-related sector.
The candidate from the respective project sites will be given priorities.
Flexibility to be deployed based on the needs and requirements of the project.
